GUILD
GUIDELINES
We have established certain rules and guidelines because we want our members to
know what is expected of them. The main goal of our guild is to preserve the
unity and strength of our family and to preserve the honor and reputation of our
guild at all costs. Strength and honor is the code we all strive to live by and
it is a hard code to follow, but we work hard to live by that code every time we
play. Respect towards not only our guild mates, but respect towards all players
is an example of how we accomplish this. Our members have worked hard to obtain
the reputation our guild has and we will not tolerate anyone wearing our tag to
ruin that reputation by showing disrespectful behavior towards others. Remember
your actions not only reflect on yourself, but on your guild in general.
However, we do understand that we all make mistakes, we all stumble, we all have
bad days but with a guild family's support, open communication, and
understanding we attempt to correct those mistakes and learn from the
experience. The following are guidelines we choose to live by:
1. Always show respect to your fellow Far Seekers. Do not use profanity
in guild chat. Do not use disrespectful language in chat. Do not make
disparaging remarks regarding race, religion, age, or occupation. We have
members from all over the world and it is possible that you may inadvertently
offend someone. Please treat others the way you would like to be treated.
2. Do not engage in mud-slinging, harassment, or name calling of ANY player.
It is unacceptable to maliciously degrade or insult someone with the intention
of causing him or her distress whether they are in the guild or not. Also
unacceptable is the stalking, repeated provoking, and/or interference with a
guild member or any other player in the game. This includes trying to steal
another person's camp, sending repeated unwanted tells, and starting rumors. Do
not follow them around from zone to zone or spam them in tells, guild chat,
shout, ooc, or auction. Do not repeatedly challenge guild members or others to
duels, invite them to group after they have declined, stand between them and
their opponent to block their vision and/or distract them, or otherwise
interfere with their normal game play with the sole intent of causing malicious
harm. If you are having a problem with another person and cannot resolve it on
your own, then you have the option of contacting an officer for assistance.
3. Always conduct yourself in an honorable manner during your travels in
Norrath. While grouped with guild members, grouped with others, or soloing,
unfair gaming will not be tolerated by this guild. Loot hogging, harassment,
kill stealing, ninja looting, causing trains, camp stealing, ridicule, pick
pocketing of another's foe, intentional cause of character death, and swindling
a player out of money, equipment or services are all considered unfair gaming.
By engaging in these activities, you will be removed from the guild and are
opening yourself to being reported to a GM and losing your account. Also, do not
use anon to hide your guild tag for others or to hide from the guild itself. If
you would like to hide your class and level use role play. And although your
guild tag does not show, anon does not hide your guild status. You are a
representative of Far Seekers and your actions are a direct reflection of our
guild. Our reputation comes from our members and how they interact with other
players.
4. Do not spam guild chat or members with repeated begging or nagging. It
is not the responsibility of the guild to provide you with equipment, money,
power-levelling, resurrections, or ports. Do not expect others in the guild to
drop whatever they are doing and leave their group every time you request help.
Remember that everyone's schedule is different and there are things they would
like to accomplish while they are in game. Please respect that. However, this
does not mean that you are not allowed to ask for help. It is our pleasure to
help when we can. Also, guild chat is not the Bazaar. Please do not use it to
auction items. If you are going to sell an item to a member use tells to
negotiate and do not try to make a profit off of another member. If that is your
intention, please stick to selling your item in the Bazaar.
5. Whenever possible, provide assistance to your fellow members. Whether
it is just a drive by buffing or help with a difficult CR, any help you can
provide is much appreciated. However, do not charge a guild member for ports,
binds, or buffs. The guild does not require that you give an item to a guild
member although that is something we are known to do. If you are given something
by a guild member it is your duty to see that it is passed onto another guild
member when you are able to upgrade that item.
6. While attending either Far Seekers raids or alliance raids, be sure to
follow the raid leaders instructions. Do not question tactics or loot
policies during a raid. If you have questions or concerns ask a Far Seeker
representative directly. Do not make disparaging remarks about another guild or
person. If you bring invitees to the raid make sure they are well informed about
the raid and the loot rules. Make sure they feel welcomed throughout the raid
and make sure they get out safe at the end of the raid. If you are a porting
class make sure you offer to port anyone out before you leave an event.
7. Respect the decisions of the guild leader and officers. Do not use
chat to criticize the decisions or actions of the guild leader/officers. If you
feel you have been treated unfairly or you do not agree with a decision made by
an officer, please show the courtesy of bringing it to that officers attention
by sending a direct tell. If you still feel unsatisfied, then bring it to the
attention of another officer or the guild leader.
8. Remember that our guild's number one goal is to have fun. However, we
do not want to do that at the expense of others either in guild or those we come
in contact with during our travels. We're not out to see who can get the most
loot or highest levels. Friendship, honesty, loyalty, trust, and fun should come
above everything else.
If you decide to remove yourself from the guild it will be considered permanent
so think very seriously before doing so. If you decide you made a mistake in
leaving and wish to return, you will have to state your reasons before the Guild
Leader and High Council and request that your membership be re-instated. Each
situation will be looked into on a case by case basis. All special status and privileges
will have to be earned back. Should you remove yourself a second time
there will be no returning to the guild for any reason.
Rathe
Travel Agency Guidelines
We
are an active posting member of the RTA. Therefore, we honor and uphold the
rules that have been agreed to by the majority of the guilds on our server.
For a complete listing of these rules, read The
Rathe Etiquette thread which is found on the Rathe Travel Agency
messageboard. These rules should be upheld the same as our own guild policies.
